15 month AOR anniversary comes and goes

Well today is the 15 month anniversary of our AOR. Our AOR stated a 15 month wait so we are now at the point when we may start to hear something.

We waited until the postwoman had been this morning before going out, but no brown envelope from CHC. I expect we will now start storking her every morning for that valuable envelope delivery.

It has been nearly two years since we first decided to emigrate to Canada and 18 months since we posted our application. The time has gone surprisingly fast as we have been using the time for research etc, but the time is now starting to drag and will probably get worse now we have reached this deadline.

We just want to know one way or another if we can go or not. If we get word from CHC which says we have been rejected for whatever reason, at least we can move on. With all the uncertainty it just drives you insane, as anyone else in the system will recognise. Your life, although progressing, is on semi-hold as you try to make decisions based on your move to Canada – we won’t buy a new oven, as hopefully ours will last us until we move, we won’t replace the blown-up hairdryer, we will use the small travel dryer till we move, we won’t replace the car, we will keep this one till we move, we will only renew our subscriptions to XYZ magazine for six months as surely we will be moved by then……..the list goes on! It takes over your life completely.
