We have an offer for our UK house at last
This week we had five viewings of our house and had some excellent feedback. One gentleman moving from London, loved the house and wanted to buy it, but had yet to sell his own place, so could progress no further.
We had two viewings yesterday (Saturday) and we felt that neither would buy as we didn’t get the right “vibes” off them. However, this morning the estate agent phoned to say one of the couples from yesterday wanted to make an offer.
We were a little surprised, as they didn’t seem particularly interested and literally flew through the house. We rejected their first offer which was well under the asking price, but they came back half hour later with a more sensible offer which we have accepted.
They are cash buyers and we suspect perhaps buying to let as they didn’t seem personally connected to the viewing, but who cares!
This is excellent timing as we fly off to Canada for good in three weeks. Fingers crossed nothing goes wrong in the meantime!
