Still in shock from bear encounter
We are still in shock from our bear encounter the other evening. We cannot believe we actually saw what we saw. Thank goodness I managed to get some pictures, even if they are not very good, you can at least see that it is a bear.
That evening I phoned the OPP (police) to see if we should report the sighting and they said yes and gave me the number for the bear reporting centre. I called them and gave the details and then yesterday someone called me back.
He said that although bear sightings happen down here, it is rare. As the bear only wandered in for a short time and we have no garbage in our garden he thought we would probably not see him again. He did mention that one had been seen a few days earlier in nearby Prince Edward County, not sure if it is the same one or not.
I still haven’t heard back about my ultrasound or MRI scans yet. Hopefully someone will come back to me next week.
