Now the chipmunks are out

Well it seems that spring really is around the corner. We spotted our first chipmunk of the year yesterday. Got a pic of him today. Only one so far but we know there are many more where he came from.

We also spotted a brown headed cowbird, but haven’t managed a photo yet. The squirrels as always are about and this one was catching a few rays on the nesting box.

Yesterday and today the skies were blue, the sun shining and the snow is melting at a fast rate. We don’t have any flooding here but people further north are having problems. The Georgian Bay area (Collingwood, Orillia etc) have been a metre underwater because of the snow melt and heavy rain.

We have heavy rain forcast tonight and tomorrow, but hopefully it will clear away the remaining snow. temps should also be higher 10-11C – scorchio. BTW on Tuesday we got to 14C. Nearly got my bikini out!

Don’t you just love spring. Sunday morning around 5ish we had a heavy snow fall with thunder thrown in to make sure I was awake to see it in it’s glory
