Temps reach the thirties
Here is our flicker which has been visiting our garden since we arrived here. He is a great bird and is in the woodpecker family but spends most of his time on the ground.
You can see his bright red shape on this head.
We have also seen a couple of hummingbirds come and go but they are so tiny and so quick we have yet to get a photo. We are determined to get one, so stay tuned.
Today the temps are in the low thirties with the humidex at 41C. The whole weekend is forecast to be this hot, so summer seems to have finally arrived. Mind you 41c is a little too hot for our tastes so we are going to be spending the next few months moaning about the heat!
