Cheeky chappie pays a visit

This afternoon we were sitting in the living room when we noticed movement by the window. When we looked over we saw a squirrel hanging from the side of the house peering in the window.

This is Boris one of our resident squirrels. He often sits on our deck, even using the furniture to sun himself and can often be seen on warm days just draped over the deck newell post.

This time he seemed more interested in what was going on inside the house.

As you can see he wasn’t a bit bothered by me talking to him through the window. He stayed hanging here for about five minutes.

Also the other day we spotted this strange creature sunning itself on the deck.

I think I have identified it as a bush cricket, but stand to be corrected if anyone knows better.
