First deer of the season
We have just had the first deer of the season in the garden. We knew they had been back as we had seen the hoof prints in the grass but until now we hadn’t spotted one. We don’t tend to see them in the summer months as food is plentiful elsewhere.
Tonight after dark we happened to put the outside light on and there was a deer. Fortunately it wasn’t too bothered by the light and stayed around. At least we know they are about again now. As the weather gets colder and the shrubs etc start to become less available we probably see them all the more.
I will never get tired of seeing deer in our garden, they are so magical!
