Winter Canadian Style
We were listening to the weather this morning and we heard mention of temps in the -30′s. Wow, that’s a good wind chill temp for someone we thought – aaaggghhh it’s for us! Apparently during the next few days not only are we getting loads more snow but the temp will drop to the minus high twenties – that’s without the windchill which will apparently put us well into the -30′sC. Hang on a minute – don’t the weather men know we are in Ontario, not Manitoba! This is Belleville, not Winnipeg!
Oh well, I’m sure we will survive – we have food in the fridge, the generator is charged, gassed and ready to go. At least then we can just admire the temperature gauge from inside the house without having to go outside until it warms up again – about April I’m guessing!
The weather doesn’t seem to worry the squirrels. It doesn’t matter if it is +30 or -30 they go about their business – which lets face it involves eating, chasing jays, eating, eating – burying nuts, eating and lets not forget eating.
