Don’t tell my aunt we have snakes!
The following information must remain a secret and my aunt must never know. She is terrified of snakes and she and my uncle are supposed to be coming over again next year. This information might put her off, so lets hope she doesn’t read this particular entry!
A couple of evenings ago I was just on my way to get ready for bed and passed the porch. For some reason I looked out the window and spotted what I first though was a very large worm on the front steps. But when it started moving it was obviously a snake, albeit a small one. I shouted to Chris to come and have a look and we took some photos. We think it is an Eastern Garter Snake, but if anyone knowns any different then let me know via Facebook.
Here is our new friend.
As you can see he is not very big but it is the first snake we have seen on our property although we have seen plenty out and about (don’t tell my aunt about this either!)
How exciting, a new critter to add to our list.
