On Monday, their last full day the girls wanted to go back to the beach. Rather than doing two, 2 hours return trips Chris and I decided to go Cobourg too.

We dropped the girls off at the beach, parked the car and then wandered round the town. We had coffee and cake at one of the many coffee shops and also got some british chocolate and biscuits from the Brit shop there.

The beach area was very busy and crowded and so we walked along to the harbour and then along to the other beach which is pebbles, rather than sand like the other one. Here we found several people wind surfing as well as tons of geese. We wandered back into the town and eventually four the girls again. After several hours we headed home.

Unfortunately we had to take the girls back to the airport on Tuesday. Although their flight wasn’t till late evening we set off early and despite heading into a big thunder storm which frightened the daylights out of them we managed to get to the airport early, thanks to heading off the 407 and taking the toll road.

When we got there they checked in and got rid of their bags and then we all went to Swiss Chalet in the terminal for a bite to eat. We had a nice “last meal.” and then had to say our goodbyes. Lots of tears later and we were off back home again to an empty house.

I am back at work tomorrow and Chris will have the house to himself after sharing with three women for the last couple of weeks.
